Bear Creek Dog Park

Yesterday we got to go to my favorite place ever, Bear Creek Dog Park. It’s so awesome there! 25 acres of fenced in area to romp and play! Oh, I didn’t even mention the best part, a creek! I LOVE the creek! They also have an agility course that I like to play on sometimes, but didn’t get to this time cuz I was too busy smelling everything!

I wasn’t too interested in playing with the other pups, I just wanted to sniff and lay around, but guess what? I met a tripawd! He came up, sniffed my butt and then was off like lightening! Y’all weren’t kidding when you said you could get around great on 3 legs!

Mommies said I have to go to the groomer before my surgery to get extra clean and get a haircut. I guess that’s why I got to go play in the mud and water. Whatever the reason I’m sure glad we went! I had so much fun and was so tired after. Rock climbing, puddle jumping, creek laying, lots of walking and sniffing like crazy-now that’s a great weekend!

Save The Date!

Mommies say June 14th is gonna be a big day. They said that’s when I’m having my surgery.

I guess they’re gonna drop me off in the morning and pick me up later on in the day. I don’t really want to be away from them but they keep telling me this is for my own good. When I come home I’m going to have a sleepover at my friend’s house, I had fun today stealing Sally’s bone when we were over there. We’re having a sleep over for a while so I can heal and not have to go up and down 24 steps to use the bathroom.

Thank you human friend Amy for letting me and Mommy stay with you and Sally.

A New Route!

Mommies took me to yet another vet this morning. They poked around on me (must be the favorite thing for vets to do) and talked to my mommies about my surgery. The new vet said something that made my mommies very excited: I don’t have to lose my leg (at least not at this point). They want to use a skin flap from my tummy to cover my knee, so there’s enough skin to go around after they take out the tumor that has everyone fussing over me. They tell me it will mean I have to spend less time recovering from surgery too, so I can get back to chasing squirrels quicker (the real priority here).
